.NET goes open source

.NET core is now open source, a good new for developers in GNU/Linux and MAC, not as good for the Mono Project, or maybe yes according to Miguel de Icaza’s words.

Today, fortunately, software is being built more collaborative than 20 years ago. Most of new projects are being built for the cloud and there GNU/Linux is, certainly, the king. Also, in Microsoft’s azure, 20% of it’s VM’s are GNU/Linux, so it seems a natural movement from Redmond.

Oracle, are you trembling? 😉
